Hello. I am Richard Summers, President and CEO of Southern Cross, and I would like to thank you for considering Southern Cross for your employment.
Southern Cross partners with our customers and employees to make our projects a success. We protect lives and customers property while investigating or deploying client infrastructure. We add value to the process by integrating innovation and technology into everything we do while challenging the status quo. We are a rapidly growing company and are in search of employees that will help us shape our collective futures.
I have been with Southern Cross since 2014 and in that time have been so impressed with the people. Our culture is one of teamwork, based on the recognition that the company’s greatest asset is our people.
My advice for you, if you choose to join us, is understand our purpose and become engaged in our success. The most important tools you control in your own success are bring a great attitude and take part with a dedicated effort. Be reliable and seek to understand why things are done. As you learn question things and share ideas of how we could improve. Most importantly- have fun!
My philosophy on work is it should be something you are passionate about while accomplishing a purpose. Our purpose is delivering value to our customers. The more value we deliver, the more we can all share in the success.
Organizationally, I believe that the responsibility of a company structure should be upside-down. What I mean by that is most people feel that everyone works for their boss, but I feel that from the CEO down we are all working to engage others to operate at their full potential. The employees drive our success, they satisfy our commitments and they make our projects successful. Leadership has a role, but without the employees these things cannot be accomplished.
